Orthography

Syllable structure: C(N)V(V)(C if last syllable)

Words can’t end with g, w

Repeating vowels are pronounced with a glottal stop between them. If the first letter in a word is a vowel it is also pronounced with a glottal stop at the start of the word.

An e placed after a consonant at the end of a word may be silent

Pitch-accent

All words have either rise-fall pitch, fall-rise pitch, or flat pitch
For verbs, pitch change is placed on the second to last syllable. For all other words pitch change is placed on the last syllable.
The pitch-accent is written on the vowel of the syllable that would have pitch change, and is written à for fall-rise, â for rise-fall, and no mark for flat pitch.
